They'll never see it coming.

The new Yonex Nanoflare 800 Pro Badminton Racket is the weapon of choice for world champions Ratchanok Intanon and Soh Wooi Yik and comes packed with technology for quick, aggressive play combined with solid power and is manufactured from high-modulus graphite for incredible stability and durability.

The Nanoflare 800 is perfectly suited for fast games where quick reflexes are required, making it ideal for high-level doubles play, for players who love being the aggressor close to the net. With a head-light balance, this racket can be whipped around with ease, so nothing can hold you back when defending smashing, or in flat rallies.

This racket sports an extra cross string, increasing string density to boost surface pressure and create enhanced repulsion for accelerated drives. Combine this with the Sonic Flare system, which is strategically lined high-modulus graphite at the top and bottom of the frame, and you have a racket proven to produce high initial speeds upon hitting a shuttle.

The frame itself is dedicated to drives, with a steep angle from the stringing area to the T-joint and copper used at the bottom of the frame, increasing the rigidity of the racket and further enhancing repulsion, enabling powerful drives to take your opponent by surprise. The wide profile of the frame is also key, providing extra racket surface stability to minimise warping during your swing and produce powerful, controlled shots.

Features:

AERO Frame: Smoother contours throughout the racquet head for less wind resistance and extra racquet speed.

ISOMETRIC: Developed over 30 years ago, the ISOMETRIC design increases the sweet spot by 7%. Compared to a conventional round frame, a square-shaped ISOMETRIC racquet generates a larger sweet spot by optimizing the intersection of the main and cross strings.

M40X: A next-generation, highly strong yet elastic carbon fiber.

Sonic Flare System: The revolutionary new graphite material TORAYCAR M40X and SUPER HMG provide unrivaled power and stability for maximum shuttle acceleration.

Ultra PE Fiber: The shaft is constructed using ‘Ultra PEF’ – ultra poly ethylene fiber – which is light enough to float on water yet able to withstand immense forces. these characteristics allow for maximum shock absorption.

Super Slim Shaft: The slimmest racket shaft ever produced by YONEX vastly reduces air resistance whilst providing maximum feel.

Energy Boost CAP PLUS: A uniquely shaped cap that maximizes shaft performance. The front allows the shaft to flex, while the side arch-shaped curve stabilizes the racquet face by preventing the shaft from twisting.

New Built In T-Joint: The lightweight T-Joint increases stability of the shuttle on the strings, maximizing power and control.

Buying Guide

Badminton Rackets Buying Guide

The key question to ask firstly is what style of player are you, or what type of player do you want to become?

  1. Power Attacking
  2. All Round
  3. Fast Reactions to Rallies
  4. Control and Touch, by moving players around the court to create space

As a general guide for your playing style below is the kind of racket you'll want to look at purchasing:

In simple terms is means this:
Player with Explosive Backswing Hitting = Stiffer Shaft needed as it'll unload faster for more power.
Player with Slower Backswing Hitting = More Flexible Shaft needed so that it'll unload fully at impact.

If you're still unsure what to choose for yourself, we'd recommend going for a medium flex badminton racket to minimise the chances of choosing incorrectly what's right for you.

Weight:

Weight can make a real difference to reaction speeds, and power behind the hit of a shuttle. Too light a racket and it won't go far or powerful enough. However too heavy a racket and you'll find you'll be reacting too slow in fast flat rallies, where reaction speed is everything.:

Most rackets are weighted around 3U (85-89g) or 4U (80-84g), this is because it's a good weight balance for players to hit hard and also be able to react fast too.:

Typically singles players will use heavier rackets 3U (85-89g), this provides the player with more stability and accuracy, with a little more weight for power behind it, without compromising on racket speed too much, as quick racket head speed isn't needed as much in the singles game:

Doubles players however will usually want lighter rackets, the most popular weight for this being 4U (80-84g), this is because the Badminton Racket will offer more speed and quicker reactions in around the net and for defence against smashes.:

Racket Strings Used & Tension:

Again like the grip, this is customisable on any racket. However do look out for racket tension ranges on the product as this could potentially limit your ability to have the racket strung at a desired tension.:

For a full breakdown on strings and tensions, see our buying guide specifically on this.:

To put it simply however, if you're unsure what to choose when buying a racket you like, either go for the “Original Strings” option or “Stringers Professional Decision” for which we'll choose the string that best suits getting the maximum performance out of the racket for you.:
