What are the best Victor shuttlecocks?

The premier Victor feather shuttles are the Victor Master Ace. These shuttles have proven pedigree at the top level of the game as they are Badminton World Federation approved for use in the biggest international tournaments. At the time of writing the Victor Master Ace is the official tournament shuttle of the Danisa Denmark Open and the Victor China Open, showing it is trusted at the highest level on the world tour. These shuttles are comparable to the highly popular Yonex AS-50 which is the most used BWF tour tournament shuttles.

Victor also offer a second tournament grade shuttle which is the Victor Gold Champion. The Victor shuttlecocks are crafted with 100% high quality goose feathers and are used in many international tournaments. The Gold Champion is also popular with many national leagues and is the official league shuttle in Germany and many other countries worldwide. The quality of the Victor Gold Champion shuttles have made them a bestseller at BadmintonHQ and are comparable to the Yonex AS-30, which is probably the most used club and county level shuttle in the UK right now.

The best plastic or nylon Victor shuttlecocks is the Victor nylon shuttle 3000 platinum. These shuttles are built to the highest quality standards. The base is made from the highest quality Portuguese cork for optimum rebound and the injection moulded skirt is hardwearing to offer far greater durability than any of the Victor feather shuttlecocks.

The best Victor shuttlecock for outdoor play is the Air Shuttle. Developed for outdoor play, the Air Shuttle is helping badminton to become more accessible through the Air Badminton initiative. Victor is the first badminton brand to cooperate with BWF in releasing a shuttle specific for this purpose. The Air Shuttle is more resistant to wind than traditional shuttlecocks, allowing for a truer flight path, and a more positive experience for outdoor badminton play.

What is the best shuttle speed?

Shuttle speed can be affected by atmospheric conditions so there are different speed options to suit the conditions of play. In colder conditions shuttles will fly slower and so this is often counterbalanced by using faster shuttles. In hotter, more humid countries it is common for slower speeds to be used so that the shuttle can still be controlled. In the UK, during the badminton season it is most common for speed 78 shuttles to be used, although speed 77 is sometimes used in faster conditions.
