Yonex Duora Badminton Rackets
The Yonex Duora Badminton Rackets in our opinion at Badminton HQ are some of the most underrated top quality badminton rackets available. They feature truly unique technology and concepts not used by any other brand or range of rackets around. The word “Duora” refers to “Dual Frame” and the Dual Optimum System used in the frames concept build. Most frames are designed in a 1 dimensional way on both sides for equal feel, balance and effect of shot on both sides, however the Duora rackets have been made on 1 side of stability and on the other side for aerodynamic speed. Why is the racket made this way? Well it’s due to the way we hit our forehand and backhand shots differently, and therefore the need to hold and execute shots in different ways.
The technology and concept of the Duora rackets are ground-breaking in the way the frame has been designed. So what makes it so good? The frame construction provides a standard “box” shape on 1 side, this helps achieve a sharper cutting edge on the reverse side. This enables faster, more powerful swing speed for backhand shots, whilst the forehand side provides strength, power and stability.
The rackets are also visually designed in a very unique way so that you can hold your racket in your hand there’s 2 colors, and each color for each way you hold the racket. This way you know which side is your forehand or backhand side to hold the racket.
Our opinion of these rackets are that they offer the best of both worlds situation, allowing you to turn defence rally situations into attack. Be expectant however that it’ll take you a bit of time to get used to the feel of the racket, as due to the technology, the way and feel of hitting on the forehand and backhand is slightly different.
Yonex Duora rackets are part of the Yonex Badminton Rackets range. The Duora Rackets all feature Nanometric DR carbon graphite box frame design which improves the shuttle hold for high repulsion and effective smashing on the forehand. The combined technologies of these rackets is ideally intended for counter attack and attacking players. These shafts are also made 60% thinner than a conventional badminton racket, but features greater strength and less weight due to the advanced graphite materials used.
The most popular Yonex Duora Rackets range comprise of the following:
Yonex Duora Z-Strike Badminton Racket - Designed for the powerful player that needs extra accuracy to their game, with power on their backhand shots. Used by Victor Axelson to perform the fastest smash ever recorded.
Yonex Duora 10 Badminton Racket and the Duora 10LT - These 2 models are the same, simply that the LT model is lighter which suits some players needing faster racket head speed or reactions. The rackets are made for powerful accurate players needing a bit extra on their backhand shots.
Yonex Duora 99 Badminton Racket - Really suits the aggressive and powerful player wanting accurate shots in their game. It suits players who want an all round game, but leans towards naturally smashing it to win their rallies.
Yonex Duora 88 Badminton Racket - A very much all round racket for players needing extra power on the backhand side. It also suits the player needing a little more power into their shots and struggle with heavy stiffer rackets.
