Product description

  • Ultimate speed without compromising on power.
  • Used by Anders Antonsen
  • ANTI-TORSION SYSTEM.
  • High level of control and stability
  • High Resilience Modulus Graphite

The newest racket in the Auraspeed series. The Auraspeed 90K is the weapon of choice for European Champion Anders Antonsen. Whilst most premium rackets have featured extremely stiff frames, Victor's new Whipping Enhancement System allows the frame to flex and whip through the shot, adding not only greater power, but also helping to propel the shuttle at steeper angles. The benefit of this is that the racket is much more forgiving than many top-spec rackets, and can benefit a wide range of players and hitting styles. The 90K is a lighter and stiffer framed alternative to it's brother in the series - the 90S

Hard Cored Technology Hard cored techonology provides players with optimal racket handling helping to increase your shot responsiveness. Inspired by helicopter rotor blade technology, a structure of multilayer carbon fibre and its composites, retains racket stiffness but minimises material size, reinforcing racket handling and performance.

Rebound Transition Construction

During big hitting shots and fast rallies, Rebound Transition Construction (RTC) enables players higher quality speed, accuracy and responsiveness in shots played. R.T.C technology is scientifically based, with a specifically designed structure introducing ‘reflection points’ within key areas of the racket frame. These reflection points, maximise rebound performance benefitting the player in both increased shot quality and swing speed.

Pyrofil

Pyrofil Carbon Fibre aids playable time till fatigue, in addition to better control and racket durability for all styles of play. Originating from the car industry, the Japanese Pyrofil ultra-light carbon fibre material and its composites, enhances handling, control and shock absorption through high-intensity, ultra-light bonds. The additional benefit is a core strength, resulting in a reliable racket construction you can trust for years to come.

Nano Fortify TR+

Nano Fortify TR+ builds on Nano fortify technology allowing players to generate accurate attacking power shots in responsive fast-paced ralles with the added benefits of improved racket durability, resilience and hand-feel. Built into the whole racket frame, Nano fortify TR+ provides advanced more durable carbon fiber, enabling it to generate bending strength and high repulsion power through the composition of tube-shaped carbon fibres. Therefore, retaining the accuracy of a stiff frame, optimised repulsion power and racket durability.

Dynamic Sword

Surprise your opponents with accurate swift sharp shots, as Dynamic sword technology raises your ability in attacking fast-paced styles of play. Dynamic Sword frames incorporate two distinct aerodynamic shapes that imitate a sword blade as it cuts through the air. The first shape, located at the top and bottom of the racket head (6/12 o’clock direction) features an inward cutting frame, complimented by the secondary shape of an outward-cutting frame structure located on the left and right mid points of the racket head (3/9 o’clock direction). Therefore the Dynamic Sword shape leads to greater frame aerodynamics and reduced torsion (twisting), resulting in accurate swift attacks.

Whipping Enhancement System (WES)

The Whipping Enhancement System (WES) improves both the speed and steepness of your attacking shots (eg: smashes) without compromising control. This softer material, located in a specific part of the shaft stem near the throat enhances racket-head acceleration via a ‘whipping style’, creating faster, steeper attacks, with satisfying control.

BUYING GUIDE

Badminton Rackets Buying Guide

The key question to ask firstly is what style of player are you, or what type of player do you want to become?

  1. Power Attacking
  2. All Round
  3. Fast Reactions to Rallies
  4. Control and Touch, by moving players around the court to create space

As a general guide for your playing style below is the kind of racket you'll want to look at purchasing:

Playing Style Racket Balance Racket Flexibility Racket Weight
Power Attacking Head Heavy Stiff 85g – 89g (3U)
All Round Balanced Medium 80g – 84g (4U)
Speed & Fast Reactions Head Light Medium 79g or below (5U and up)
Control & Touch Head Light Hi Flex 79g or below (5U and up)

In simple terms is means this:
Player with Explosive Backswing Hitting = Stiffer Shaft needed as it'll unload faster for more power.
Player with Slower Backswing Hitting = More Flexible Shaft needed so that it'll unload fully at impact.

If you're still unsure what to choose for yourself, we'd recommend going for a medium flex badminton racket to minimise the chances of choosing incorrectly what's right for you.

Weight:

Weight can make a real difference to reaction speeds, and power behind the hit of a shuttle. Too light a racket and it won't go far or powerful enough. However too heavy a racket and you'll find you'll be reacting too slow in fast flat rallies, where reaction speed is everything.:

Most rackets are weighted around 3U (85-89g) or 4U (80-84g), this is because it's a good weight balance for players to hit hard and also be able to react fast too.:

Typically singles players will use heavier rackets 3U (85-89g), this provides the player with more stability and accuracy, with a little more weight for power behind it, without compromising on racket speed too much, as quick racket head speed isn't needed as much in the singles game:

Doubles players however will usually want lighter rackets, the most popular weight for this being 4U (80-84g), this is because the Badminton Racket will offer more speed and quicker reactions in around the net and for defence against smashes.:

Racket Strings Used & Tension:

Again like the grip, this is customisable on any racket. However do look out for racket tension ranges on the product as this could potentially limit your ability to have the racket strung at a desired tension.:

For a full breakdown on strings and tensions, see our buying guide specifically on this.:

To put it simply however, if you're unsure what to choose when buying a racket you like, either go for the “Original Strings” option or “Stringers Professional Decision” for which we'll choose the string that best suits getting the maximum performance out of the racket for you.:
